In 2004 Grupo BAFAR made a strategic alliance, in continuance with expansion plans, by acquiring Grupo Fernandez, creator of FRES-KE-CITO, the poultry and egg brand leader in the north region of Mexico.

Grupo Fernandez is a group of land and cattle farming companies devoted to the production and sale of poultry, eggs and poultry and cattle feed. It has over 40 years of experience and is the leader in the poultry market. This provides an excellent opportunity for our company to expand operations in the primary sector and to enter the poultry production industry, allowing us to achieve high growth levels in our operations.
